I’m not sure the pickings for Sonett parts are very good in NW Montana scrap yards

What about this? Same general area of Montana. Won’t you please think of the 96's?

Thank god I already have my next $2,700 allocated for a dish washer and a mountain bike otherwise I’d be tempted to make a really bad decision.

MMMMMM, it’s 1,600 miles away and $150-some in gas according to GasBuddy, and yet I am STILL extremely tempted.

I really f’n hate you right now
I’m trying to get out of the Saab black hole and into something easy to build, like a Camaro or something. Stop trying to suck me back in!

The way I figure it, if it suffers horrible engine failure of some kind, it’s ripe for a pushrod 4.0 Cologne swap. Who cares if you have to relocate the radiator?

It’s puzzling: here we have a relatively desirable vintage sports car (to some people at least), with a handful of issues, but not terrible or irreversible ones, being offered at very reasonable price given the market for theses cars.
So the question is what’s the problem that it’s been on the market for almost 9 months now? The fact that it’s located in the middle of nowhere (even for Montana)? Some tragic problem the seller isn’t telling us about? He won’t budge on the price? A mystery.

Ill be honest, I didn’t even look at the ad. But I know cragislist, I can all but guarantee it is a shitheap. If you sell something for a fair price, or something even remotely under market, it will sell.
That's gonna leave a mark!

For the 10 guys this car appeals to, unfortunately for the seller,
6 of them haven’t’ got permission from the wife
2 of them haven’t the money
1 of them has to wait to finish school and the last one is up to his elbows in a current engine rebuild.

Middle of nowhere? If I were in the market for this thing, I’d make it into a week vacation at Glacier NP, then hook up a trailer and tow it home.

Still for sale! Now with enticing “Here’s what it COULD look like if you restored it!” lead photo.

Yeah, that’s pretty misleading and makes me distrust the seller. I’d be asking for many more photos and videos before heading out there. But, I’m not even considering buying it, so it doesn’t really matter. V4's have a special place in my heart, though.
